First Aid Actions for Solar Water Heaters
Answer:- If the water is leaking from the system, close the inlet valve situated on the cold water piping of the system and register a complaint with the above form.
Answer:- If the water is overflowing from the air-pipe of the system, then check if the shower mixers in the bathroom are on either sprout or shower setting. If the mixer is in the middle, then turn it to either side and close the hot water tap.
NO HOT WATER?
Answer:- If you are experiencing a drop in the hot-water output, wash the collector surface of the solar water heater with normal water.
Answer:- If no water is coming from the hot water tap, then there is no water in the cold storage tank from which the supply to the hot water has been taken. Hence, fill the cold water storage tank first, water will automatically start coming. Also, check the solar water heater once for any leakages and follow the water leakage first aid action.
TOO HOT WATER?
Answer:- If in summers or due to reduced usage of the solar water heater, the water coming is too hot and damaging the plumbing fittings of the bathroom, then cover a portion of the solar water heater collector area with any light weight and non-melt able product. A Cloth is preferred. Please do not use anything made from plastic or metal.
